I have donated blood many times in the past, my first being a blood drive we had in high school, which I went to in order to get out of class for a while. Tsk..Tsk. But after I did it, I had such a good feeling about the possibility that my blood might actually help save a life. So I continued to donate a few times a year. A handful of times though I wasn't able to donate because of my blood pressure being too low.  Sometimes it was fine, sometimes it wasn't.  I never knew until I got there if I'd be allowed to donate or not.

Unfortunately, I haven't donated in a while, because when I had a surgery a couple of years ago, I unexpectedly had to have blood given to me while on the operating table, and there's some rule about not being able to donate for two years after receiving a blood transfusion.

But.. I'm pretty sure I'm past the two year mark so I really should go donate again.

Oh and I'm another O+ blood type.
