Oh yes, I love that colour, Valdo.

Most of what we read today has got nothing to do with Jesus the man. Much of the scriptures were written, or influenced by, the original spin doctor, Paul/Saul. This man had never even met Jesus, but based his writings on his own visions of the resurrected 'son of God'. Jesus never claimed to be more than a man, this was manufactured by Paul, an idea that had nothing to do with the original teachings.

Over the centuries, there have been splits and changes in what may loosely be described as christianity. Like Paul, each new leader wants his brand to be recogised, which takes us further and further away from the original teachings.

I don't agree with any of this.  And I have to wonder where you got it from.  Maybe it's you who's the spin doctor?

Rose,
It's OK to disagree, you have your beliefs.
However, this is a fact that Christianity is a never ending interpretation religion.
In a way, maybe it is better because it doesn't remain savage and primitive like Islamism.
Christianism has passed this stage and the advantage is that you can interpret the way you like without being shunned.
You can create your own Christian church by your own interpretation as did the the incipient Christian church.
