Just curious, what do you use instead?  I've been trying to find something to switch to.  I've used Equal (aspartame) for years now, but recently I've been cutting back on how much I use, down to half of what I used to use in my coffee for instance.  I can't take the saccharine (Sweet n' Low) taste and Splenda isn't my favorite, though it's the best of what I've tried (whatever that is made of).
Ah, we have Splenda, which has sucralose in it, but if you're not keen on it...but then maybe try to get used to it because:

Sucralose is one of two artificial sweeteners ranked as "safe" by the consumer advocacy group Center for Science in the Public Interest. The other is neotame. (wiki)

So aspartame isn't even considered to be a safe sweetner, at least sucralose is. I don't actually use splenda often because I'm not really into hot drinks, where I'm avoiding aspartame is in soft drinks. It's a personal decision but I think if anyone read up on the health risks associated with aspartame they'd avoid it like the plague, I mean I'm not a health freak by any means but what we heard about it recently was enough for us to banish it from the house.

Maybe if I keep continue cutting back little by little of the aspartame then one day maybe I'll not need a sweetener at all.
Maybe. Have you thought about using honey as a sweetner? I've never tried it so hvae no idea what it's like, can't imagine it working in coffee really.
