I totally agree with your post, Francois.  The sad part for the GOP is that it simply is not the Grand Old Party anymore.  The religious right and the TeaParty has infested this party and turned it into Gutless Obstructionist Parisites.  They want to get rid of the government?  The government that saves their arses when a tornado or flood or hurricane destroys part of their Republican run state?  They should be damn grateful for big government that saves them when they need help.  And yet, they tried to deny that same help to the victims of hurricane Sandy because they were northern states.  Shame on them.  I wish the states that want to leave the union would go ahead and do it.  They pay the least in federal taxes so that would leave more money for states that would appreciate it.

It's being said that the Republican Party will be a minority party, once more of them are voted out, and will stay that way after that.  The majority of Americans can no longer trust them.  They do great harm to women, our tax paying gay citizens, minorities, education, health care, seniors, and poor children.  The moderte Republicans are being threatened and voted out by the foolish followers of the religious right and the TeaParty, not realizing the fact that they will be the losers in the end. The big joke is when you hear a right wing voter say, "keep government out of my Medicare" - too foolish to realize that Medicare is a government run program.
