To all kids who find themselves in a similar situation, they should see if they can get together enough interested kids to make a team, then approach the school about loaning unused equipment indefinitely, if they use them it's understandable they would refuse, but if they are gathering dust it's just a sad waste.  - Heather

That is a good idea, and would prove beneficial for many reasons - getting kids active, and letting them do something they enjoyed.  And even maybe give them something positive to do with their time, and might help keep some out of trouble.

Let's see.. I played softball for a few years when I was younger (it's like baseball for those who don't know what it is). I really enjoyed it, especially when I played in the shortstop position, it kept you very busy. I also played catcher, and even pitched a few games too. I wasn't that great of a batter though, never made a home run. But it was fun, regardless.

I played a little bit of tennis when I was in high school, though not very good. I've bowled on a bowling league too, which was a lot of fun.

But my favorite was when I was on a dart league, (should that count as a sport?) I actually had a pretty good talent in it. DH used to get frustrated 'cause most every time I beat him.

I also like billiards, played it for a while in my early 20s, though not sure if it should be counted as a sport either.  I was just so-so in it.

Oh and there's mini golf too! Or what some people call putt-putt. I hadn't played in a while, but recently we played and I was proud that I still had it and spanked 'em all.  I'm pretty competitive sometimes, well.. 'cause I like to win!!   at least I'm not a sore loser. smiley: happy
