I am a regular blood donor and wanted to donate this week, though my work schedule interfered with my plans. I am sure I will be able to find a clinic in a nearby city over the weekend.
Blood drives have saved millions of lives, and so I just wanted to ask people here if they ever donated blood, and what it means to them?
Blood donations saved my life when I was born - so to me, it's a duty; it means giving back. I do enjoy it (well, except for having a needle stuck in my arm for longer than is entirely comfortable) and I end up thinking 'maybe I helped save someone today.'
So, have you donated, or considered giving the 'gift of life?'
